Conflicts of Interest
Conflicts of Interest Policy
A conflict of interest is any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationship that could influence, or appear to influence, a person's judgment.
- Authors must disclose funding sources and any relevant interests in a Conflicts of Interest statement. If there are none, state "The authors declare no conflict of interest."
- Reviewers must decline reviews involving recent collaborators, colleagues at the same institution, or competitors.
- Editors must not handle manuscripts where they have a conflict. Submissions by editorial board members are handled by an independent editor.
- Publisher: American Tech Publication does not influence editorial decisions.
